Big Moves at Perrone Robotics!
It’s been a fast-paced few months here at Perrone Robotics, and we’re excited to share just a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:
🔹 Updating a fleet of Ford E-Transit vans with next-gen autonomy for city transit applications
🔹 Finalizing fully automated electric bus yard operations for a major metro system
🔹 Kicking off full-scale mobilization of six automated buses for three transit agencies under a U.S. DOT program
🔹 Integrating our TONY AV kit into a next-gen simulation platform for bus automation – and simultaneously outfitting physical buses and vans for a university transit program
🔹 Outfitting Ford Explorers with TONY
🔹 Commissioning both Ford E-Transit vans and alternate EV platforms for upcoming operations
🔹 Providing support and maintenance for TONY-powered AV fleets in live operation
In total, we’re talking 30+ vehicles across 15+ locations on 10+ vehicle platforms. From shuttles and buses to off-road UTVs and micro-transit vehicles. Either running, commissioning, or in final prep.
💡 The Ford E-Transit has proven to be a star platform, but we’re also seeing great momentum across multiple bus types, transit vans, off-road units, and other specialized AV platforms.
